Woot Woot!! Make way for 2013!

2012 is almost done.. A whole year sailed away .. A bit of a rocky ride , nice waves and generally a good view, but well, we are done with the year now and looking at a Brand New Year!!

Christmas has just passed and no haul/gifts ..Infact I did not remember even wishing anyone :0!  I know, I know - does ot sound too Christmas-sy  and i ain't feeling too christmas-sy either this year.. Some how the festive season did not get to me this year and any attempt at a cheer up has decidedly become WIP .. Hmm ..

But I did find some good sales in the store and lopped up some good accessories .. you know, bags .. shrugs.. shoes ... jewellery .. and the likes :) !! A bit of a big buy and it sis leave me smiling eh .. I haven't  taken any photographs of the loot, but couldn't help announcing .. I BOUGHT STUFF !! LOTSA STUFF  :D !!

Maybelline Baby Lips -

With this post i am starting to decode the items in this haul and i am starting with the Lip Balm sticks. I always go for red, pink or peach toned: the flavours being cherry, strawberry, berry, guava and the likes, with the exception of Rose ( from Vaseline). I have never tried an orange/coral shade and i so wanted to give it a shot. And here's Maybelline Baby Lips in Coral Flush. Ofcourse i also bought the pinky one Cherry  Kiss . Ha !

Maybelline promises that this is the next generation Lip Balm making adult lips baby soft! Oooh! It comes in 4 shades (i think) and there is also one that promises to repair. With Botanical Cell repair Concentrate,i ts even better than the regular Baby Lips they say. But for now lets talk about the regular Baby Lips.The picture for the packaging is here for you to see. It look quite neat and cutesy, doesn't it.

Drugstore Haul - Some pretty things !

It seems to be my curse that I never reach the destination i start out for, without peeking into the local store for some pretty things. THis time though, i made sure i had items on my list to buy from there , so i wouldn't actually be digressing :) !

Some are basics, but some are pretty :)) ! I know most of these things are basic stuff and there not much excitement there .. but i am hopping to try the Chambor lipstick and eye pencil ..I tried the lipstick in the counter and it was so close to my skin and looked super fab! It somehow reminds of the Lakme tagline - Makeup that doesn't look Made up. It is these kind of products that i actually like. The not so loud ones .

So here is the list of the haul contents:

Elle18 Color Pops - Sheer softness!

I have been a bit of the Elle18 fan since college days . I used to live on a tight budget and busy days, travelling often and keeping myself pretty occupied.. Lipsticks and Eyeliner were all the make up I used to sport apart from the mandatory sun-tan and face powder.. And this was the brand that worked for me in so many different ways .. And this post is just about the lipsticks that i used to love, and i continued love them every time they were re-launched ( if i am right - eeks!)..Actually lots more love since they started coming with this moisturizing core .. But this time round, there are better shades and super cutesy packaging as opposed to the earlier "i go to office" packaging.

Luscious lips in a box ....

When i was a kid, i had gone to visit a cousin , and on her dresser i found something that i still drool over .. it  was a big bright box with lace and ribbon, and guess what it was filled with - LIPSTICKS !!!!

Oh how i swooned over it.. A big box filled with various brands, lots of colors - lovely smooth jewels.. FIlled a little carelessly, with lipsticks.. almost brimming with beauty.. OMG.. i vowed to have something like it one day, and started quietly collecting lipsticks.. and now i can easily say i have a lot more than that box, but that was my inspiration. i still keep my lipsticks like that box, a bit messy a bit like a pile.. and when i want to find one .. its not so easy, but hey, its my Box.

Btw, the Lipstick is this picture - its new & i have not reviewed it yet, but i will. Soon.

Colossal Kajal - Lovely Eyes!!

This eye pencil was part of a shoping from H&G .. Am on budget mode and only drugstore brands for a while .. so this was among the first picks.. its been a while since i bought this though..

I fell in love with this one as soon as i tried it, in the store and not even on my eye .. the colour is very dense and the lines are neat and clear.. it doesn't smudge for a few hours .. and stays quite intense for the all the while. And even after it smudges it maintains its intensity.. i just love its blackness .. sooo intense .. Of late, most pencils are an intense black and  i am liking that finish.

And the cousin - The Lakme Eye-Conic Kajal!

The lovely cousin of a another super product of the same line : The Lakme Eye-conic Curling Mascara. Woo Hoo!! And i love this one too !

I bought this together with the Mascara and the 2 are a deadly duo. Dead Black. That's what they are. ANd they are so easy yo apply. The Kajal is very soft and totally smudge proof. It just glides on the eyeline and leaves a very definitive finish.

Today it starts - With the Lakme Eye-Conic Range!

Today, i was looking to finish a couple of tasks: go to the library and meet a friend.  But somehow on the way, i landed myself at the local cosmetic store and bought a couple products!!.. :) soooooo typically me ... I was in need of new eye products and some serum for my hair ( it wasn't in my buy list for the month, but who's to stop? Right? :)  ) .. And when i walk into this store I find on display the Lakme Eye-conic Range - the Lakme Curling Mascara.. And the Lakme Eye-Conic Kajal. To complete the eye-product range, i also sampled the Lakme Absolute Shine Line ( in Black).

And here's about the Lakme Curling Mascara. It comes in this curvy container shaped like a tear-drop(from the top), a new nice applicator brush, and the new colour tones that Lakme has started using for the eye-conic range really please the eye .. if you know what i mean ..
